Guidelines for submission

If your research investigates a topic of psychology and you are a UCSD undergraduate then you are eligible to submit you work for publication in The Triton Psychology Report. If you are recently graduated but completed your work while an undergraduate, you may also be eligible.

Your completed or near completed research will be considered for publication as long as your stick to the stylistic guidelines and submittal timeline described below.

The Triton Psychology Report is only accepting submissions that adhere to APA style.   Novices to APA are still encouraged to pursue submitting as long the author is willing to learn APA style; TPR volunteers can offer assistance for this. Contact tprucsd@gmail.edu for more information.

Before submitting your completed research article, you must submit your completed application along with an abstract of your work in APA style.  The due date for this submission is March 15.  Your research need not be completed at this time, but your abstract should strongly imply the direction your results will take.

Once your application is submitted, we will respond to you with either suggestions for revising your abstract submission or instructions for submitting your completed paper.  Please wait up to 2 weeks for this response.

The next step will be to prepare your research article for submission.  Since the TPR will be a peer and professor edited academic journal, we require your completed article submission by April 15. This will ensure us enough time to have your article read and reviewed by our editors and other faculty advisors. After your article is reviewed, we will return it to you with our comments and any change requests, then ask you to resubmit your revised document.  You will receive this response by May 1.  If your submission requires major changes, you may be asked to resubmit again for another review before finalizing your content.

For the selected articles, final re-edited submissions are due May 15. If you adhere to all the timelines listed above and submit quality work, then your article will be printed in this year’s publication of the Triton Psychology Report. You will receive a commendation and a personal copy of the completed journal for you to enjoy, as well as other copies to share during your graduate school interviews.

Good luck, we look forward to seeing your work!
